What is Asean?
Asean is Association of Southeast Asian Nations and it is an organization of countries in Southeast Asia set up to promote cultural, economic and political development in the region. The original five members included Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. Since its formation, ASEAN has been growing slowly, and more countries in the region have gained membership. Through co-operation the goal of the organization is to increase the welfare of the people in the region, both economically and culturally. Asean commands far greater influence on Asia-Pacific trade, political, and security issues than its members could achieve individually. This has driven ASEAN’s community building efforts. This work is based largely on consultation, consensus, and cooperation. The ASEAN flag represents different meanings which blue represents peace and stability, red represents courage and dynamism, white represents purity, and yellow represents prosperity. The stalks in the middle represents the ten members in the ASEAN and lastly all the colours represent the main colour of all ten ASEAN member state
